It exposes a single OpenAI-compatible API that routes your requests to many model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, AWS Bedrock, and self-hosted models) while adding routing, automatic fallback, cost tracking, budgets, prompt management, security guardrails, and billing.

Is Stratum compatible with the OpenAI SDK?

Yes. Point any OpenAI SDK at the Stratum base URL and use a Stratum API key. You reach any provider's models by changing the model name — no other code changes are required.

How does Stratum billing work?

Two modes. Bring-your-own-key (BYOK): you add your own provider API key and the provider bills you directly, so Stratum usage is free. Platform keys: Stratum supplies the provider credential and bills usage to prepaid credits, so you can use models without your own provider account.
